Vehicle Guide Sample Spreads, Tooling Update

As we wait for the factory, below are two sample page spreads from the Car Wars Vehicle Guide. This add-on item is loaded with page after page of pre-designed cars, giving you an even faster way to start playing the game just as soon as you've opened the boxes and assembled your tools. Each design tells you which cards are needed to build the car*; the designs use cards from across the entire range of expansions that are being produced thanks to your support of this campaign.
* And the book even notes which set has the miniature of the car.
Tooling Update
We're down to a handful of components that are still in the tooling stage. Right now, the factory is working hard and aiming to wrap up the tooling before they close down for the Chinese New Year holiday. We have our next GPI meeting tomorrow and should receive more news then. Once we approve the last of the tooling samples, then we can construct the manufacturing timeline.
We'll share a new batch of tooling pics just as soon as those last pieces arrive and Sabrina and Sam have had time to run their checks on the pieces.

The two vac trays for the core game have arrived!
With the Steve Jackson Games and GPI winter break coming up fast (both companies are closed starting Thursday), there's a chance we won't see the next round of samples until the first week of January. We'll have more pics to share as move closer and closer to the tooling finish line and prepare to officially move into final production.

First Vac Tray Sample

A new tooling sample: the first of the game's vac trays! These pics show the Wrecks tray. The other vac trays should reach us for review over the next few weeks.
The tooling process continues. We'll share more pics as new components come in. Once we complete the tooling phase, then we'll be able to start setting and manufacturing and shipping schedule.

Solo Rules Draft - A set of rules to play Car Wars Sixth Edition as a solitaire game. This is an early draft (pre-layout), and has been through testing but is not yet ready for final layout and release.
Tooling Update
We continue to work with the factory on component and box tooling. We've seen a few more samples -- and rejected them -- and should see another round of new samples before Christmas. As soon as we complete the tooling stage, then we'll be able to work through an updated manufacturing and delivery schedule.
(We're scheduled to receive what may be the last three car miniatures tooling samples this week. Fingers crossed that these are approved!)
